Hamzabey Cami – Bursa

Çelebi Sultan Mehmet’in baş vezirliğini yapan, Fatih Sultan Mehmet’in elçisi olarak gittiği Romanya’da şehit olan Hazma bey tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Fatih devrinde mescit olarak yapılmış, 1614 yılında kazasker Muallim Zade Ahmet Efendi tarafından minber konulması ile camiye dönüştürülmüştür. 1826 ve 1854 yıllarında meydana gelen depremler nedeniyle tamirat görmüş, Fatih devrinde Bursa’da yapılan eserlerin en büyüğü ve en önemli külliyesidir. Medresesi ve imareti bugün mevcut değildir. Caminin duvarları üç sıra tuğla, bir sıra taş örülmüş; taş aralarına dikey tek tuğla konmuştur. Büyük kubbe kasnağı tuğladan, kanat kubbelerinin kasnakları; duvarlarda olduğu gibi taş aralarına ikişer, üçer dikey tuğla yerleştirilerek örülmüştür. Güney duvarındaki pencere kemerleri testere dişi formunda, tuğla malzeme ile yapılmıştır. Duvarlar üç, kubbeler iki sıra kirpi saçaklıdır. Kaidesi üç sıra tuğla, bir sıra kesme taş ile örgülü olan minareye son cemaat yerinin doğusundaki yer alan bir kapıdan çıkılmaktadır. Üçgen satıhlarla, silindirik tuğla gövdeye geçişin sağladığı minare, sonradan camiye eklenmiş ve kaideden şerefeye kadar tamir edilmiştir. Kaynakça: Bursa İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürlüğü

The Hamzabey Mosque

It was built by Hazma Bey, who died as a martyr in Romania where he went as the Grand Vizier and the messenger of Çelebi Sultan Mehmet. It was built as a majid in the time of Fatih, and in 1614 it was transformed into a mosque with the installation of a minbar by Muallim Zade Ahmet Efendi. It was repaired because of the earthquakes that took place in 1826 and 1854, and it is the biggest and most important complex built in Bursa in the time of Fatih. The madrasa and imaret are not available today. The walls of the mosque have three rows of bricks and a row of stones; Vertical single bricks are placed between the stones. The large dome is made of bricks, the pulleys of the wing domes; as there are made on the walls, have two bricks placed between the stones, and three bricks placed vertically. The window arches on the south wall are made of brick material in a sawtooth form. The walls are three rows, the domes are two rows of hedgehog-shaped eaves. The minaret, which is braided with three rows of bricks and a row of cut stone, is exited from a door at the eastern end of the site of the meeting place for the latecomers.
