Çukur Han (Kütahya Han) – Bursa

Tuzpazarı Caddesinde bulunan Çukur Han, Sultan II. Murad döneminde Yıldırım Bayezid’in damadı Buharalı Emir Efendi tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Kesme taş ve tuğladan yapılan bu han da diğer hanlar gibi bir avlu çevresinde iki katlı olup, revak ve odalardan oluşmaktaydı, ancak bu handan günümüze gelebilen kısımları, güney tarafındaki zemin kat odalarından üçü ile batıdaki kapı kemeri merdivenleridir.

The Çukur Han (The Pit İnn)

The Çukur Han located on the Tuzpazararı Avenue was was built by Yıldırım Bayezid’s son-in-law Buharalı Emir Efendi, during Murad II’s reign. This inn, built of cut stone and brick, is a two-storey around a courtyard, like the other inns, consisting of porticoes and rooms, but all we have from this inn to this day is a series of doorsteps in the west with three of the ground floor rooms on the south side.
