Başçı İbrahim Paşa Cami – Bursa

Maskem semtinde, Başçı İbrahim Sokağında bulunan cami, fatih devri eseridir. Başçı İbrahim tarafından yaptırılmış olup, vakfiyesinin aslı Topkapı Sarayının arşivindedir. Cami zamanla harap olmuş, 1854 depreminde sonra ve 1891 yıllarında onarım görmüştür. Bir ara depo olarak kullanılan yapı, Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğü ile Bursa Eski Eserleri Sevenler Kurumunun ortaklaşa onarım sonucu 1960 yılında ibadete açılmıştır. Kare planlı olan asıl ibadet mekanı prizmatik üçgenlerin (badem) meydana getirdiği bir kuşak üzerine oturan, üstten kurşunla kaplı kubbe ile örtülüdür. Ana mekan 10.00 x 9.95 metre iç ölçülerinde olup, ortası boğumlu prizmatik üçgenlerden oluşan bir kuşak üzerine oturan, dıştan sekizgen kasnaklı bir kubbe örtmektedir. Kasnakta üç pencere, altta sekiz, üstte altı adet pencerelerle içerinin aydınlığı sağlanmıştır. Alt sıralardaki pencerelerden altı tanesi genişletilerek şekilleri bozulmuştur. Güneydeki iki pencerenin ahşap kapakları orijinaldir. Son cemaat yerinde girişi bulunan minare caminin batı köşesindedir. Sekizgen kaideli silindirik gövde tuğladandır. Şerefe, altı sıra kirpi saçak dizilidir. Petek, külah ve şerefe, onarım sırasında yenilenmiştir. Avlu ortasında bulunan sekiz kenarlı şadırvan da yenidir. Başçı İbrahim Cami ile Hamamı arasında ve güney duvarı arkasında birçok mezarlar yer alır. Güneydoğusunda 1481 yılında ölen Başçı İbrahim Bey’in mezarı bulunmaktadır. The Başçı İbrahim Paşa Mosque

The mosque located on the Başçı Ibrahim Street in the Maskem district belongs to the periof of the reign of Fatih the Conqueror. It was built by Başçı İbrahim and its deed is located in the Topkapı Palace’s archives. The mosque was destroyed over time, after the earthquake of 1854 and was repaired in 1891. The structure, that was used as a warehouse for a time, was reopened to worship in 1960 thanks to the joint work of the General Directorate of Foundations and the Bursa Ancient Works Lovers Association. The main place of worship, which is in a square plan, is covered with a dome covered with lead from the top, put on a belt brought by prismatic triangles (almonds). The main room measures 10.00 x 9.95 meters and covers a dome with an octagonal outer shell, sitting on a belt of prismatic triangles in the middle. Three windows in the hoop, eight in the bottom, six in the top have been provided with the brightness of the window. Six of the windows in the lower rows were enlarged and deformed. The wooden covers of the two windows in the south are original. The meeting place for latecomers is located on the western corner of the minaret’s window with the entrance in place and is made of a cylindrical body brick with an octagonal base. The honeycomb, cone and the şerefe were renewed during the repair. The eight-edged fountain in the middle of the courtyard is also new. There are many graves between the Başçı İbrahim Mosque and the Hamam and behind the south wall. There is the tomb of Başçı İbrahim Bey, who died in 1481 in the southeast.
